The PINNACLE AX170 machining center is a 5-axis machine with a tilting and rotating table. The machine body consists of ribbed Meehanite cast iron. The headstock is equipped with a pneumatic counterweight, which significantly minimizes the vibration of the column and the headstock itself during dynamic changes in the direction of movement. 5-axis machining allows for the production of a complex shape in a single clamping, which increases accuracy and reduces the processing time of the part.
The PINNACLE AX170 machining centre is a 5-axis machine with a rotary-tilting table. The machine body consists of ribbed Meehanite cast iron. The headstock is equipped with a pneumatic counterweight, which significantly minimizes the vibration of the column and the headstock itself during dynamic changes in the direction of movement. 5-axis machining allows for the production of complex shapes in a single clamping, which increases accuracy and reduces the processing time of the part.
Linear roller guides and optional measuring rulers allow for high dynamics of axis movement and high positioning accuracy.
In order to increase the accuracy of machining and smoothness of movement, the machine headstock and ball screws are cooled with oil.
The machining centres can be equipped with Heidenhain, Sinumerik or Fagor controls. If the workpiece does not require 5-axis interpolation, it is possible to order a 4+1 machine (4 interpolated axes + 1 indexed), which will significantly reduce the purchase costs.

Key Features of the AX Series
- The main structural elements are made of high-quality Meehanite (FC-30) cast iron castings
- Precision linear guides of the "P" class use rollers instead of traditional balls, which significantly increases their stiffness and load capacity
- Travels 30/30/24 m/min in the X/Y/Z axes
- The spindle has high-precision P4 class bearings. The spindle provides a wide range of machining and high speed
- The spindle oil cooling circuit prevents thermal expansion and provides optimal conditions for machining
- Table tilt – A axis in the range of -120° to + 120°
- Table rotation – C axis working in the range of full 360°

- Optional HEIDENHAIN measuring scales - double feedback loop - provide maximum feed precision

- The tilt and rotation of the worktable is carried out by servomotors, through worm gears with backlash compensation. The positioning accuracy for the A/C axis is 15”/10”, and the positioning repeatability is 10”/5”
